Emmett Ferguson
GREY HIGHLANDS COUNCIL

I’ve lived in Kimberley since I was a child. My family moved here in 1989 .
I moved back home in 2018 to become a partner in our family business, Eko Nomos Inc.
Just as I would on Grey Highlands Council, we help charities, businesses, towns, and schools, building sustainable livelihoods in Ontario and across Canada. We do research, planning and evaluation – skills needed on Grey Highlands Council
Since 2021 I have been a member of the Grey Highlands Museum Advisory Board, and the Grey Highlands Heritage Committee.Â
Since 2024 I have been a volunteer Game Master at the Hanley Institute.
I am a founding Director of AHIGH Affordable Housing In Grey Highlands Inc.
I look forward to meeting you during the campaign, and finding out how I can best serve you as a Grey Highlands Councillor.

Hello Grey Highlands
Things Is Changing
This term of Council will see significant change no matter who is elected.
I'm ready to work hard and listen well to the people of Grey Highlands.
My biggest priorities will be affordable housing development, revitalizing village governance, and protecting our farmland and natural assets.
What it's all about
Housing
We need to invest in affordable housing as a community. Right now I think this means focusing on below-market rental development, as suggested by AHIGH.
Farming
Makes our community great. Building a strong local food and farm sector will help us grow, make, share and celebrate our plenty.
Balancing
Protection of natural assets with public enjoyment and tourism development.
Listening
To our communities to improve services and value. I think it's time to integrate village governance into the municipal committee fabric in a more consistent way.
